Does this sound familiar?
- Dry, burning or stinging eyes
- A gritty feeling, like sand in your eye
- Itchy or tired eyes
- Vision that blurs on and off and clears when you blink
It often gets worse with screens, air conditioning, fans or wind, long stretches of reading, or wearing contact lenses.
A common cause
Your eyelids have tiny oil glands, called meibomian glands, that keep your tears from drying up too fast. When those glands clog, your tears evaporate quickly and your eyes feel dry.
How Eterna works
Eterna is an in-office treatment that applies gentle radiofrequency warmth around the eyelids to help those oil glands work better, so your tears stay on your eyes longer. It may help relieve dry eye symptoms in the right patients.
- No surgery: non-invasive and done right here in our office
- Performed personally by Dr. Hidalgo
- Treats the cause when the eyelid oil glands are part of the problem
Results vary. Whether Eterna is right for you, and what results to expect, is determined by clinical evaluation.
